Admission Prices

The Museum is a not for profit company that benefits the economy of Longreach and provides local employment.
The admission fees provided by visitors are the only form of funding the Museum obtains.

Definitions  
Children Under 6 and accompanied by a parent admitted free
Students Full time school or full time tertiary education on production of valid ID card
Family 2 parents and up to 3 children under 16
Groups 10 or more admissions
School Groups 10 or more students - one teacher per ten students will be admitted free-of-charge
Wing Walk Minimum age 12yrs
Rubber soled footwear is essential
All Wing Walk tours are to be booked direct with the museum and are not available on the online booking system
Seniors On presentation of valid Government issued seniors card per admission

The group rate is available to group bookings of ten or more people. Coach captain and hostess are free-of-charge.

Restrictions

Visitors must be 12 years of age or older to do the 747 Wing Walk Tour.
For safety reasons enclosed rubber soled footwear is essential.
Size restrictions Wing Walk Tour 43cm - 50cm opening - vertical ladder to access the computer bay.

No photography permitted inside the 707.

Location

At Longreach Airport on the Landsborough Highway approximately 3 kilometres from the centre of town, and adjacent to the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre.

Duration of Visit

Plan to spend two to five hours to see the museum and do the tours.
Tours of VH-EBQ, the Qantas 747 "Jumbo" take one hour.
The 707 Restoration tour takes 30 minutes.
The 747 Secrets with Wing Walk tour takes approximately two hours.
Bookings are essential for the aircraft tours.

With prior arrangement we are able to cater for an out-of-hours tour for groups.

Opening Hours

The Museum is open daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm (except Christmas Day). Special opening hours are available to groups and charters by prior arrangement.

Group Bookings

Special rates apply for group bookings. We can tailor your group experience at the museum to suit your special needs and your itinerary. Tour guides can adjust tours and their content to cater for your precise requirements. Catering is provided with prior arrangement and there are ample parking bays for coaches.

Educational Group Program

School groups are particularly welcomed and special content to suit education curriculum needs can be arranged. We are currently developing educational formats and material to cater for the primary and secondary school curriculum. Please contact us with any special requirements. One teacher is admitted free with every 10 students.
