The Qantas Founders Museum are often seeking casual staff to work within a number of areas throughout the museum during the peak winter season (late March to October).

About You
To join this great team you will have had experience in cooking in a friendly fast paced, high volume atmosphere.
You will be able to and prove yourself to have a positive attitude with a customer driven focus, combined with a calm and organized approach.
Your work history will prove your experience in managing all aspects of a busy kitchen, including staff supervision, ordering and cost control.
You will be an individual which is extremely reliable and can lead others by example.

Successful candidates will possess the following:
- You will hold a Certificate III (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent with 2-3yrs experience
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen procedures v
- A genuine interest in and knowledge of food and current trends
- Very well developed communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
The successful applicant will take charge of our kitchen and further increase the growth in the business, whilst adding new and dynamic ideas to enhance the dining experience.
As Head Chef you will maintain high standards of work practice whilst leading by example and have ability for creating innovative and interesting dishes incorporating fresh local ingredients.
Duties will also involve menu planning, staff rostering, stock and cost control, supervision of staff and the efficient running of the kitchen, as well as a thorough understanding of HACCP Food Safety Programs.

Starting salary commensurate with experience. This will be reviewed after 3 months and regularly thereafter
